Site-specific design
A beautiful location with east facing views and open space on all sides drove a T-shaped floor plan approach. This allowed for maximum outdoor space and privacy on the east side of the home and a garage and entry spaces that could be connected to the heart of the house. The pergola on the southeast side provides shade in mid-summer heat without blocking the sun in the winter. The patio design and landscaping create spaces to gather with family at the firepit, hot-tub or seating area.

Client goals and house design mission

Execution of design
Coming in at just under 3,200 square feet this 5-bedroom home doesn’t lack in amenities. The living area of the home is just the right size for the family when gathering for meals and daily activities. Ample storage space, pantry, and well designed laundry and mudrooms are key to the functionality of this busy home. The exterior of the home uses white horizontal siding and primary gable roofs to nod to the farmhouse style, while the shed roofs provide a modern take.
